We were up and on the road as the sun was rising this morning, on a clear and sunny day. It was our annual Bald Eagle Hunt. Here are some of the 85+ Bald Eagles we saw on the Nooksack and Skagit Rivers in North Western Washington.

Our first stop was the Nooksack River, where 30 or so Bald Eagles searched for their morning salmon feast.

Many perched in the surrounding trees, watching the water with their eagle-eyes.

They don't miss a trick.

Some brought their catches back to the trees to dine in peace.

Two heads are better than one, eh?

Further along the river near a sandbar, this chap watched the water carefully.

Aha! He sees something moving.

Ready...aim...

Catch! Breakfast is served.
