Woodland Park Zoo ~ January 4, 2009

Oh boy it was cold at the Zoo today. How cold was it? Let's just say that I saw the fewest number of animals I've ever seen in all my years of coming here. Only the well-furred and/or well-padded (or the silly) creatures ventured out of their lairs.

The same could be said for the visitors, although I did see one man wearing shorts. It was still fun. :D

What better way to spend a day than dozing under the heat lamps, thinks the Jaguar.

Nina the gorilla totally agrees. Here she is relaxing in the warmth.

'Sissies!' says VIP as he gnaws away on a bit of old Christmas wreath.

There's nothing like a bit of salad on a cold morning. Blech. Does IHOP deliver?

Roarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, it's cooooooooooooooooooolllllllllllldddddddddddd!

Didja hear me? I said it's COLD! I want to go back inside but they won't let me.

I am the new Siamang. Hey, what's up with the ice on our pond? I thought it was warm here!

Here's the new girl (2 yrs old) on the block under the eye of one of the guys.

Hey you two, quit whispering about me!

Helppppppppp! I'm frozen and I can't get up!

Just kidding! Luckily our rocks are heated.
