Jack Frost has been vacationing in the Pacific Northwest for the past few days. Brrrr. We're not used to the temperature dropping below freezing. I walked to the pond today to see if it was frozen.

Oh dear - I bet these poor little Primroses were shocked by their blanket of ice crystals.

The ice in one of the smaller ponds was beautiful.

The vegetation in the shade still wore a frosty coat..

White berries looked pretty too.

The shore of the big pond which was almost totally frozen, was lined swirling ice.

I had to remind myself that this was ice, not snow.

I could hear cracking noises as I walked the perimeter of the pond.

Some Rose Hips looked a little worse for wear.

This beautiful little pond was on my way home.
