Woodland Park Zoo

January 26 , 2008

It was cold today. How cold was it? The mud at the Zoo was frozen solid. It began snowing while I was there. Most of the animals stayed inside where it was warm and cosy. I hereby award a medal to the following pals, who braved the elements to say hi (except for the last two pictures).

Hey lady! Got any extra gloves? Or a scarf maybe?

I spy with my little eye...someone with hot chocolate. Hey! Over here! Yoo hoo!

Maybe if I keep moving fast, my toes won't freeze!

Hmmmpfff. I'm no sissy! No hot rock for me - I'm going for a prowl!

Oh boy, my favorite scratching post. And it's not quite frozen.

Oh no! I think I am frozen in this position! Well, at least I have food.

Bah! They won't let me out because they think I'm going to fall and break my leg.

What a day to give us salad! How's about a nice bowl of hot stew, guys?

Hey, I'm a Southern Masked Weaver. How about sending me SOUTH?

I knew I shouldn't have taken a shower before I came outside. Brrrrrrr!

I wish it was time to build my hanging nest. It has to be warmer than this!

I wonder if anyone has a lighter? I could build a little campfire for us all.

Meanwhile, inside the nice warm Day Night building, a turtle takes a leisurely swim.

The Green and Black Poison Dart frog carries on as usual. So it goes.
