Super Bowl Sunday - February 5, 2006 |
|
|
One of the
things I love about the Pacific Northwest is the changeable weather.
Yesterday
was horrible, fit for neither man nor beast but today - oooh,
today was lovely. I headed out for a short neighborhood walk.
Wolfgang watched
me depart.
|
|
Buddha, Patrice's
cat didn't know whether to watch me, or keep an eye on Wolfgang.
They are slowly
becoming used to sharing a house and property, but they are not
too sure whether they like it yet.
|
|
Patrice (our
landlady) is hosting a Super Bowl party today, so she is all ready
for it. |
|
So is this
fellow, who asked me if I'd like to take his picture as I stopped
to comment on the Seahawk flag on his car.
He is so excited
about the game that he could hardly contain himself. He was in
the middle of packing up all his Seahawk souvenirs to take to
his buddy's house for the Big Game.
|
|
Oh I was SO
happy to see the beginnings of Spring. There were lots of these
pretty pink flowers in bloom already.
I can never
remember the name of this plant.
|
|
Several folks
along my route had made use of kale plants to brighten their gardens
during the non-flowering season.
I thought
they added a beautiful and interesting touch of color.
|
|
There were
tons of crocus plants in bloom everwhere. These were growing in
a small patch of grass right beside the roadway. |
|
And here are
some more. There were many colors but the purple flowers made the
best contrast. |
