February 9 , 2006
I walked through the Zoo today. It was a short trip, the highlight being hilarious antics by one of the Red-ruffed Lemurs who was determined to remain in his own little spot of sunlight, despite the efforts of the other Lemurs to move him. He was hysterical.

The weather was sunny but very cold and I believe most of the animals were huddled up in their inside shelters.

This little Lemur had staked out his own special patch of sunlight.

He stared at his pals who ran up to him now and then.

He seemed to nap with one eye open.

When I left, he was still guarding his domain.

The Male Lion was roaring a lot today, very loudly!

For a while, I watched the Sloth Bears cavort in the bright sunlight.

And of course I spent time with my Tiger Friends.

I will miss these guys so much when they move to the Zoo in Kansas.
