Weekend In Westport, Washington
February 13-15, 2010

Off we went in the Saturday rain, heading Northwest towards Westport, WA
and the Chateau Westport which we'd booked sight unseen, having found a splendid deal. Fingers crossed we drove down a long lane heading towards the Pacific Ocean. Suddenly, there on our left was the Chateau. Already it exceeded our expectations.

The rain had just let up. Everything looked so clean and fresh. The Motel was much bigger than we imagined.

Here's an arrow pointing to our room on the second floor of the west side of the motel.

There was not only a view of the Pacific Ocean from our window, but oooooh, the wave sounds were awesome.

I ran straight through the dunes for a look at my ocean.

Tim followed, a little more slowly.

The wind was crazy. At times I thought it would blow me right off my feet.

It most certainly blew the waves around!

I loved walking along the tide's edge, spotting sand dollars, shells and pretty stones.

This sign made me smile. Would you buy a building lot here?

Now we're in Bennett's, waiting for Tim's prime rib and my steelhead trout. Why am I smiling?

'Hey Valentine!' chuckles Tim, making use of the table decoration.
