I've missed my Zoo visits, so on the way home from work today
I took a quick walk through the Zoo. The day began with an ice
storm, and it was cold so most of the animals had sensibly opted
for warmer inside quarters. Here are a few pictures of those
who did venture out while I was there.

A
Great Blue Heron stood quietly in a monkey enclosure.
A
Red Ruffed Lemur gazed longingly at the sun...
...then
flopped down in a furry pile, just like a cat.
Two
very scruffy-looking penguins huddled beside their cave.
"The
Kids" still enjoy a bit of rough and tumble play.
Yes
indeedy - that's snow there, beside the tiger.
A
picture is worth a thousand words.
Melati
was too busy de-fleaing Towan to visit today.

Guarding
his precious lunch, a Siamang takes a preprandial nap.
His
pal looks longingly at that celery.
An
amorphous blob of hippo finds a patch of sunshine as well.
A
Patas Monkey also guards his greens with care.
