Woodland Park Zoo ~ March 2, 2009

Seattle was graced with a surprisingly lovely early March day - blue skies, sunshine and warm temperatures. Despite having planned a busy day, I made time for the Zoo.

Happily I glimpsed several animals who've been hiding inside for the cold, wet months.

Okay, so I'm outside. Yeah, yeah, yeah...it's warmer. Now go away plizzz.

Whooooaaaaa Nellie! What's that strange glowing object in the sky?

Hmmppffff! You kids! Always the wise guys. It's the sun, of course.

All this warmth is making me very sleepy.

First, a little bath...

Oooops, missed a spot!

Dang - some places are just too hard to reach. I miss my Mommy!

Psssst. Hey Tom! Did they open the lunch door yet?

Unnfff! Ooooof!! Unnnffff! Dang it, nope. Still locked.

Well, we might as well line up, Helen. C'mon down.

Who're they kidding it's warm? Thank goodness for my trusty burlap blankie.

Chef! Chef! What's this red stuff? It tastes horrid.

I just washed my feathers and I can't do a thing with them.

High in the sky? Oh. I thought you said PIE in the sky. I like pie.
