Walking home through the Zoo after work today, I learned that
many animals' favorite pastime after lunch is napping. Gosh, hardly
any of them were awake. It was fun anyway.

Here comes Ang! Get down and pretend you are asleep!".

Camouflaged
by greenery, a Jaguar settles down for a spell.

A
leathery mound of hippos flopped in the sunshine.

Flaked
out like a big kitty, the lion paid no attention to his audience.

Melati
cuddled under a burlap blanket, inside the building.
|
|
|
And
her pal Towan napped against the fence outside in the sunshine.

Scrunched
into a corner of the rock wall, a tiger catches some ZzZzZzs.

A
little Arctic Fox slept with one eye open.
|
|
|
Out
for the count, a mountain goat dreams of a bath??.
|
|
|
Sleeping
or hibernating? Who knows?.
|
|
|
And
the giraffes still enjoy a leisurely lunch..
