Woodland Park Zoo

March 18, 2009
Another cold and gloomy day, and here I go again, traipsing through my favorite place. Many animals stayed inside once again. Not the wolves though, as I had the best looks ever at them. It's little surprises like that which keep me going back for more.

I told ya, Ma, I am not tired! I don't want to nap.

Aaaaack! Okay, okay! I'll settle down.

When Ma finally released her, Uzuuma scampered over to her dad Vip who was sleeping near the window. First she crept up and peeped at him, as if she was trying to decide whether to hang around or run back to Ma.

What ensued was a riot. She would run right up to his back, strike a funny pose, then run back a few feet. Faster than lightning she was, and I tried to capture this through a very dirty window. The pictures are not good but they give an idea of what was going on. All of us at the window were laughing loudly.

At last Vip stirred, so Uzuuma made a beeline for Ma as if to say 'Let's get outta here!'

Meanwhile, the second troop of gorillas were all asleep under the heat lamps.

Hey lady! Did you bring me any food? Or blankets?

Please go and tell them to open my door and let me back inside!

I mean it! I think my feet are frozen to this rock!
