On the first day of Spring we revisited one of our favorite places - Kubota Garden, a 4.5 acre area displaying the best of the Pacific Northwest in a Japanese fashion. 'In 1981 the American-Japanese Garden created by Fujitaro Kubota was declared to be an Historical Landmark of the City of Seattle.'

We were too early for most of the blooms but it was lovely to see the million shades of green, broken here and there by a splash of vibrant color.

The gates were open so in we went.

Here's something new. I'm not sure I want to sit on it. Ouch!

Spring was starting to show at the first pool. There were tinges of color everywhere.

'Hey Ace! Over here!'

Woohoo, it's the Moon Bridge, surviving another Winter!

It's time for the traditional 'Ang on the bridge' picture.

Near the Heart Bridge was a pretty little shaded corner with a literally babbling brook.

Here's a view from the edge of another pool. No yellow irises yet.

Poor old tree. It contracted Dutch Elm Disease and its days might be numbered.

Another pool may be crossed by several stone bridges.

Back and forth went Tim.
