I should change my name to Ang Btfsplk in honor of Joe, the little character in the old L'il Abner comic strip. He had a perpetual rain cloud floating over his head.

Yes, it poured again today, darn it.
Ah well, I grabbed my rain gear and headed off to the Zoo anyway. I didn't have much luck viewing the animals - they sensibly hid inside their lairs. So I spent a while at the indoor exhibits.

Here are a few pics. And now I am starting work on The Ark.

The Matschies Tree Kangaroos were quite active (for a change).

The took turns watching each other clamber around.

A couple of Chuckwallas dozed in their display.

In the same display was a pile of colorful Gila Monsters

Here's a picture of the two of them co-existing.

A little further along, a Giant Iguana eyed me suspiciously.

Here's a Yellow-spotted Side-necked Turtle, staring at me too.

One of a pair of Komodo Dragons, this guy didn't blink for ages.

His pal allowed me to get quite close to take this picture.

And finally a Corn Snake (one of several snake pics I took today).
