Mother Nature's Revenge

Friday, March 28, 2008
This is Seattle. It's rarely supposed to snow here, especially in late March! I guess Mother Nature hasn't read the Tourist Guides to Seattle, for this is what she did to us today.

Okay, so it's kinda pretty but really!

The azaleas must be in shock!

A hyacinth strives to remain upright.

A daffodil is not so lucky, bowing under the weight of the ice crystals.

Poor little Daphne - what did you do to deserve this?

I wouldn't blame the pansies if they never came up again.

The snow was too heavy for some of the more delicate blooms,

These fresh leaves must be dumbfounded!

Yeah, the look says it all, doesn't it.
