I was at the Zoo at opening time today, ready for a quick walk through since I had a number of errands to attend to. I wasn't expecting too much action at this hour but I was quite surprised. It proved to be a short but very enjoyable visit. I spent most of my time with the tigers, and with Melati as you will see.

How wonderful it was to see the two Brown Bears out in the sunshine.

I must say they didn't look too bright and chirpy yet.

In fact this one looked as if he could hardly hold up the weight of his head.

What fun! I was able to hear a Simiang Concert. They were in fine form today and their calls drew people from all over the Zoo.

Everyone was smiling and laughing at them.

They swing from branch to branch while they're yodelling. It's quite a sight.

Despite the fact that there was a gigantic, juicy-looking bone not too far away, the Snow Leopard skulked around in the grass, reminding me of the cat next door.
And once again the Jaguar was asleep.
So was the Mountain Goat.
