GOLDEN GARDENS & BALLARD LOCKS

April 18 , 2010
It was the best day of the year so far, weather-wise, in the Emerald City. Tim and I headed down to Ballard and Golden Gardens Park where we watched folks having fun in the sun. We also enjoyed seeing the birds again. We bought a lunch of fish and chips at Little Chinook and headed to Ballard Locks to eat it while watching a stream of boats navigate the Locks. It was a beautiful day.

Why am I smiling?

Wheeee, it's warm and sunny and we are at Golden Gardens Park in Seattle.

Boats of all sorts were out enjoying the sunshine, overlooked by the Olympic Mountains.

I loved this colorful pair.

A number of beach volleyball courts were in use at Golden Gardens.

Folks ventured into the water too. I didn't see a swimmer though.

In a nearby pond, four turtles took a stroll on a log.

'Hey you guys! Wait for me!'

Signs of Spring. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

The ducklings practiced their swimming under the watchful eyes of Mom and Dad.
