Tim had a long weekend as his company had designated Friday a 'Spring Holiday'. The day was sunny and cold so we hung around a few of his favorite downtown spots, like Pike Place Market on the waterfront.

The Market was very crowded and the sights and smells were wonderful. I'm afraid I got a bit carried away with the flowers.

Gorgeous bouquets are incredibly inexpensive, costing $5 or $10.

The colors were amazing.

Here's a $5 bouquet.

Masses of tulips lined the walls.

How lovely.

I also loved the dried pepper displays, above the veggie counters.

Outside, musicians helped celebrate Earth Day.
Here's a member of a group calling themselves 'Haggis".

This guy hula-hooped and played his guitar and harmonica (or sang) simultaneously.

Ooooh, a sign of Spring and the tourist season, this bus was rocking! The driver urged everyone to dance to the music as he sang along to a disco tune. Everyone was smiling.
