I made it to the Woodland Park Zoo this morning, determined to see the two baby sloth bears born last December. It was a cool, cloudy morning but the babies didn't seem to mind at all. Most of the other animals huddled in their dens.

One of the baby sloth bears hitches a ride on Mama's back. The sloth bear is the only bear to carry its young on its back. I put this in for scale, even though the bear isn't totally visible.

So what do you wanna do today? Wrassle? Climb? Hide from Mama?

How about climbing this tree? It looks pretty easy.

See? Here I am at the top already!

Here comes Mama, trying to find them. 'Where'd they go? Kids! Honestly!'

Quick! Let's get out of here. You go first! No, YOU go first!

I'm going down backwards. It's too scary to look where we're going.

This log is pretty slippery so I'm gonna slide - wheeeeee!

That was fun. Let's do it again.

I wonder why they call this stuff Beauty Bark? Itchy Bark is more like it!

Hey! Buried treasure! A nice piece of wood - yum yum.

Ahhhhhhhhh, life is good.
