Another Saturday, another lowland hike/walk, this time through Soaring Eagle Regional Park in Sammamish, south of us. We didn't see any soaring eagles but we heard a Pileated Woodpecker and a Raven during our walk.

Off we go, heeding the warning that it is very easy to get lost in this large forest.

The side trails all look alike. Fortunately they are numbered at the intersections.

The ground was carpeted with wild Bleeding Hearts.

There were loads of Serviceberries too.

And tiny little Flowers-To-Be-Named-Later. :)

Hmmmm, which tree should I hug first?

A small patch of Inky Cap mushrooms attracted our attention.

Here's a pair of Pacific Northwest Banana slugs.

Little Cabbage White butterflies fluttered here and there.

So did several Mourning Cloak butterflies.

And a Question Mark paused for a rest in the sunshine.

There were several tiny unknown moths lurking around.

And lastly - here's a sign on the park bulletin board which made us laugh.
What a great name for their business!

We walked couple of miles on the trails.
It would have been far more if I were the one to choose 'left or right here?'
My sense of direction got lost today, that's for sure.
Thanks to Tim for keeping me in line.
