On Sunday, we took a slow walk at the Washington Park Arboretum. It was a new place for us and we are definitely going back with our old shoes on. Talk about Swamp City! I was amazed at how tame the wildlife is. Herons and ducks didn't seem at all perturbed by canoeists and kayakers travelling within a few feet of them.

Who knows - maybe we'll even rent a canoe someday ;-)

On Monday (Memorial Day) we drove East to Snoqualmie Falls. So did many other folks :) It's always nice to see the Falls, and to admire the gardens in the area. There was a LOT of water today.

After a picnic, we drove through the town of Snoqualmie and North Bend before returning to Seattle.
