Today I walked through the Zoo on my way to the Rose Garden. The garden was an oasis of peace, as the Zoo was jam-packed by 10 a.m. It's End Of Year Field Trip Time. The kids were having a ball.

The Rose Garden is beginning to bloom, and it smells heavenly. I think I could have stayed there all day. I look forward to returning in a few weeks when a gardener told me the blossoms would be at their peak.
