June 1, 2007
Oh my gosh, it's been a whole month since I've visited my animal pals. I took a brief detour through the Zoo before I began today's errands. I knew there would be a sea of kids as it's End of Year Field Trip time.

The Giraffe Feeding Station is now operating (for $5 a shot), and I was anxious to see how that worked. And oooh, the lovely butterfly exhibit is once again open for the season.

A scruffy-looking wolf gave me a casual glance as I walked by.

The river otters were in perpetual motion today, enjoying the warm sunshine.

Huddled up next to the bears, a mountain goat seems very unconcerned.

Melati hid in the doorway, waiting for the keeper with her biscuits.

I watched the new Giraffe Feeding Station for a while. The giraffes didn't seem to be too hungry today, and were quite distracted by the throngs of kids. I'll look forward to trying it later in the fall.

Mr and Mrs Lion enjoyed a rest in the shade.

The little Red Pandas dozed high above me, at the top of their tree.
