Country Roads
Deception Falls, Beckler River Road, Rapid River Road

On a very bright, sunny Saturday we drove along Highway 2 towards Stevens Pass. Stopping at Deception Falls, we were amazed by the amount of water thundering down.
We hiked the trail through the woods. I found the lighting conditions very difficult, and using the wrong camera setting for half the hike didn't help either. Still, it was great.

After lunch we headed west, driving along Beckler River Road and Rapid River Road in search of wildflowers and waterfalls.

From time to time there are boardwalks and bridges.

 
     
   
     
Bunchberry flowers carpeted the woodland floor.
 

     
   
     
I put a penny on this leaf as a reference. The leaf is huge.
