Pacific Northwest Wildflowers

Finally the Mountain Loop highway re-opened so we headed there hoping for some 'spring' wildflowers. The woods looked pretty bare and there was still snow present at higher elevations. Imagine my surprise when I managed to find a number of brave little plants, determined to push their way through the dead leaves and snow crystals.
