Back to the Zoo I went on Monday. I have learned never to waste a gorgeous day. My pictures are divided into three sections.
Butterflies & Blossoms: a few pictures from the Butterfly exhibit and the Woodland Park Rose Garden (in which only a few roses bloomed).
Star Of The Day: today's feature is the charming Snow Leopard eating a cantaloupe. He made some of the strangest faces I've ever seen on an animal.
The Rest Of The Gang: just a few pictures of a few of the other inhabitants.

Racks of cocoons, ready to hatch.

Close-up of some cocoons.

The Rose Garden was very green - not many bright roses in bloom.

I spied some wonderful, white poppies.

A rose had a small visitor.

I thought this rose looked particularly jaunty.

Some looked a bit frayed around the edges, no doubt from battling with the weather.

I'm sure in a few weeks the place will be ablaze.
