Woodland Park Zoo
June 16, 2009

It's the end of June and school field trips are in full swing at the Zoo. Although it can be somewhat daunting to face a tidal wave of kids and chaperons, I still visit now and again to keep tabs on my animal pals. Today they were commenting about the unseasonable heat.

Eeeek, I think I am starting to lose my fur coat. I'm glad, but oh boy, my legs look scrawny, eh?

Pfffft. Scrawny legs? Be glad you don't look like you're molting, like I do.

Fur coat? Did you say fur coat? Try walking around with this heavy thing in the sunshine!

Hey - I think the coast is clear! Wanna get out in the sunshine for a while?

I dunno why everyone complains about the heat. I'm not hot at all. I'm just right.

Anyone got an electric shaver they could lend me for a while? Please.

It's nice and cool up here in the trees, isn't it?

Don't bother me - I'm doing my aerobic exercises.

So, Zee...what's your favorite way of keeping cool?
