After a morning of Mystery Tours, we stopped for lunch at the Village Eatery & Tea Co. located in the Bothell Country Village. We decided to treat ourselves to a Village Tea.

First came a big pot of tea for us to share. There were a bazillion choices, but we decided to try Scottish Tea. Mmmmmmmmmm. Mom gave it her smile of approval.

The next course was Beef and Barley Soup for Mom...

...and salads for Tim and Ang.

We demolished a platter of sandwiches, garnished with pineapple and watermelon:
  • ham and cheddar
  • turkey and strawberry cream cheese
  • salmon and cucumber
  • tomato and dill cream cheese

Lastly, here is the Sweets plate. There was a choice of a plain, a lemon glazed or a raisin scone served with cream and strawberry-rhubarb preserves. The bottom plate held a selection of lovely little squares and cookies.

Everything tasted great and it was a welcome break in a busy day.
