Woodland Park Zoo ~ August 29, 2008

Spying patches of blue skies early this morning, I turned my morning walk into a trip to the Zoo. The first half-hour was amazing. I felt as if I were all alone for most of it. Bliss.

The only drawback was that many of the animals had not been let out into their outside areas, so I missed some of my pals. Here are the others.

One of the jaguars was determinedly stalking something in his grotto. I wonder what?

Seen enough yet, lady? Take a picture. It'll last longer. Oh, you did.

Aha! There it is! Brekkies. Yum, yum, yum.

Oh no, it's you again! Haven't you got anything better to do with your time, lady?

'Help! I've fallen and I can't get up!' Old Nina tries valiantly to retrieve some food.

I dunno why Ma is so scared of old Jumoke. And why she makes me sit up here!

Might as well get comfortable, I suppose.

I can think of a lot more fun things to do than to sit on Ma's back all morning. Ho-hum.

Psst! Hey Ma! Are you still awake down there?

Oh no! Here comes ol' Jumoke! Let's get ready to rumble, Ma!
