Woodland Park Zoo ~ September 28, 2009

With a free morning and the weatherman's threat of Seattle Rain for the rest of the week I made a quick trip to the Zoo on a blustery, sunny morning. There was a huge group touring. They turned out to be attendees at the International Congress of Zookeepers convention on a field trip. I was pleased to chat to several members from the Toronto Zoo.

Here are 15 of my favorite pictures from the many I took.

Good grief! What on earth is Lola Lemur doing?

Shhhhhhhh. I'm trying to nap so please be quiet.

You'd better be careful you don't fall asleep and fall off, Lola.

Mmmmmmmmm! This is a Jaguar Breakfast of Champions.

Excuse me please. I'm concentrating.

Yum, yum, yum, That was finger-lickin' good.

Whoa Nellie, it's pretty breezy up here in the trees for a little gorilla.

Ahhhhh. This is the life. Master, errr Mistress of my own domain.

I'd do the two-handed chest pounding but umm, I'm a little bit afraid to let go.

Hey! I see Ma coming out of the house. She's looking for us.

Snow Leopard smooches from Mama

Hey, she's getting all the smooches. There won't be any left for me!

I'd better get over there lickety-split!

Whatcha looking at lady? Ain't ya ever seen an Ocelot before? Move along, I'm busy.

Awwww Ma, do you have to do this now, in front of all these people? It's embarrassing!
