On a beautiful October day, we met Tim's friend John and his wife
Jean at the Dungeness
Crab and Seafood Festival in Port Angeles, Washington.
To quote a description on the Festival website, "Dungeness
Crab is known around the world for its wonderful texture, its
buttery flavor, and its rarity." I can attest to that
- it's one of my favorite treats.
Tim and I started with a short hike along Dungeness Spit. After
spending time at the Festival, the four of us took a ride up to
Hurricane Ridge, to view the peaks of the Olympics, and topped
our day off with dinner beside the Port Angeles Pier. It was a
marvellous day, all 'round.
