Woodland Park Zoo

October 8 , 2008
I had a lovely visit today. I was happy to see that the gorillas had a new climbing area. Some of the old trees had rotted and come down in a storm. The new exhibit includes trees made of metal and concrete, for safety's sake. I honestly could not tell which they were. Congratulations to the Exhibits crew for doing a wonderful job.

I also learned that during the latter part of September, two baby ocelots had been born. They are not on exhibit yet, however ( here ) is a video of their first checkup with the vet this week.

Hey, have you seen my breakfast bone?

Nope, it's not under here. Where the heck is it?

Whoever said two heads are better than one obviously never met you, silly!

Oh my goodness, you wouldn't believe what a bad feather day I'm having!!

Hmmm, this looks mighty tasty. I hope there's no prickles in it.

Okay Ma, I'm 'all-aboard'. Where are we going? Huh?

Yikes! Up, up, up! Wheeeee.

Ma, Ma - let's not get carried away here. I'm just a little guy and I'm a bit scared.

Oh whew! There's my big sister Calaya come to help us. Thanks sis!
