According to the Animal Fact Sheet on the Zoo's website, red pandas are usually "sleeping and relaxing during the day in trees or fallen logs", so I considered myself lucky to be able to spend time watching these adorable little creatures.

There are two of them. A keeper told me that the second one had recently been introduced in the hopes that they might mate. They looked as if they were getting along pretty well together, and they were having fun chasing the squirrels all over their enclosure.
