OCTOBER 26th, 2013
It's been a miserable week, weather-wise - fog, mist, leaden skies and drizzle. Courtesy of my chauffeur, I spent a couple of hours at the Zoo on Saturday morning along with a few bazillion little kids in Hallowe'en costumes watching some of the animals receive their traditional Hallowe'en Pumpkins.

This made me smile, and so did the little kids. Their costumes were amazing. Superheroes, animals and little fairies with big, beautiful wings were everywhere. Also in abundance were decorations made of tiny lights. I wish they'd been turned on as I'm sure it was dark enough to see them.

I was late for some of the pumpkin festivities, and the lighting conditions were abysmal but that's the breaks when you live in the Pacific Northwet
<--deliberate typo.

Meerkat: I don't know what that thing is, but I'm not going near it until someone else does.

Is this what I am supposed to eat? Is it supposed to be tasty?

Blech! and Ptui! I think I just broke a tooth!

Maybe it's a little house for some of us.

Just because I'm old and have bad eyesight, they are trying to fool me into thinking these balls are pumpkins. Hah! I don't care. I'd rather have a nap!

Baby Misawa (now 8 feet tall) and his Aunt Tufani have a bite to eat. No pumpkins.

Jaguars: I don't know whether to eat it, play with it, or wear it as a hat.

Hey Ma! I think you're supposed to make it into pie!.

This is my Pumpkin. We are going to be best friends forever. Or until he rots, anyway.

Uhhhh, excuse me, Keepers. Did you know I only eat meat?.

My brother said that round thing is a pumpkin too. I am not sure I believe him.

Izuuma the young gorilla: Pumpkins huh? They didn't last long in here.

Some of these danged gorillas will eat anything...fast! I barely got a mouthful!
