Bothell, Washington
November 3. 2013

Yesterday was very blustery and rainy - the first November storm of the season. I took a short walk this morning to see how one of my favorite areas had fared. I was amazed to see that a number of the trees had managed to hang onto their beautiful Autumn leaves.

This year the colors have been outstanding.

Reds and golds still brighten the landscape.

They're hanging on until the bitter end.

A Towhee played Hide and Seek with me.

A Sparrow enjoyed a treat of white berries.

A Junco searched in vain for some blackberries. No luck!

Three big, beautiful amanita muscaria mushrooms survived the storm. Hooray!
