WOODLAND PARK ZOO

November 22 , 2008
It was Thanksgiving Day for the carnivores at the Zoo. I didn't know this until I arrived. It was apparent that others did, as great crowds had turned up to watch the carnivorous animals tear apart turkeys (not live ones!).

I was five minutes late for the first round, and opted to skip the second as it was in a small building. Brrrr, it was chilly, but as always I loved it.

No ifs, ands or butts - it was mighty nippy at the Zoo today.

Yikes, where's my hat? I can feel the heat escaping from the top of my head.

It's awfully hard to curl up into a ball when one is on the chubby side.

Me, I think I'll just hang out inside all day.

I don't know why folks whine about the cold. Two words. FUR COAT.

So where's the picnic, folks? Here I am, right on time and not a crumb in sight.

After last week's adventure, I shall be alert at all times.
Just call me the Avian Periscope.
