We're currently enduring a bout of the worst weather I've seen in my beloved Emerald City. Having lived here nearly ten years, I'm unused to below freezing temperatures, snow, freezing rain and ice. We've had it all during the past week, and it's still going. Yikes! I've lost count of the layers of snow and ice we've had. Last night blizzardy winds added to the mix and today freezing rain's been falling now and again. More is predicted.

This tree used to stand next to the house next door.
It's been rather dead-looking for a while.
Sometime early this morning down it came, right across the sidewalk.
Whew, at least it didn't take out any wires.
