It was so nice to have a day of sunshine today! Tim was busy so I (of course) headed over to my favorite pond. The quantity of birds was poor but the quality was good.

There are 3 small Green Herons who bop around the pond. I believe they might be the same three babies I photographed back in the Springtime.

They are much more agile now and each has its own personality.

This one is willing to stand fairly close to me and puts up with my snapping.

Number Two is fairly confident as well, and keeps a careful watch on his surroundings at all times.

'Yikes! Who's that down there! Why...it's ME! What a surprise.'

He likes to walk along the branches, very gracefully. Where's Heron #3? He's cowering in the bushes, far out of range of my camera.

What a great surprise to glance up and find a Bald Eagle soaring around.

He flew in a giant circle over my head.

I think he might have been looking for lunch. The pond birds were all hiding.

'Come out, come out wherever you are!'

With nothing much to see here, he decided to move along.

Thanks for stopping by, Mr Eagle. See you soon, I hope!
