Ali
waits by the notorious wooden Carp in the restaurant.
|
|
Of
course I made her look at the infamous Carp poem I wrote years ago,
which won
a prize in Ivar's 'Missing Carp' contest. |
|
Yikes,
another carp, made of wood, nails and spatulas watches over Ali.
|
|
After
appetizers of Jumbo Coconut Prawns, and Ivars Dungeness
Crab Fondue Dip (which I forgot to photograph because we were
too busy scarfing it down), Ali tucks into a Warm Seafood Spinach
Salad - scallops, baby prawns, calamari, salmon and halibut
atop a bed of spinach, garnished with parmesan toast. She liked
it so much she said she'd try making it herself..

Tim ordered
Seafood Stew, big chunks of salmon, mussells, clams, halibut
and those huge crabs legs in a tomato-saffron broth. He too declared
it delicious.

|
I'd
already started eating mine, when I remembered my camera, so it
looked a lot nicer when it was presented at the table. I chose Mukilteo
Seafood Sauté - Alaskan salmon, wild halibut, baby prawns
and scallops in a tarragon-crab butter sauce . Underneath is a small
mound of creamy mashed potatoes. Yum!

After
our meal, we took a small stroll in the mist on the pier. A ferry
was just docking behind Tim and Ali here.
|
|
Ali
took a picture of me and Tim together!
|
|
And here we
are having a laugh.
It was a very
nice trip, even if it was raining.
