Our area has been stuck in a rut of cold, clammy fog until about mid-morning when the sun breaks through. I went to the Zoo early anyway, wanting to test one of Tim's camera lenses. I figured it would be slim pickings today however there's usually something fun to see, no matter what the weather is like.

First stop was the indoor bird-feeding station. where three Cockatiels said hello.

A leery Rosella gave me a good onceover.

The next 3 pictures are taken with my iPhone.
Another Cockatiel thought my hair was a bird's nest.

His girlfriend tried to give me a kiss.

There we go - one on my head and one on my shoulder.

'Eeeek! Let's get out of here before she goes after us!' say the Parakeets.

A wolf was not impressed with the cold wet day. 'Shoulda stayed in bed!' she grumbled.

'You said it, sister!' agreed her friend.

A Steller's Sea Eagle was ready to enjoy a morning splash.

Whoa Nellie - look at those lethal weapons!

A Kookaburra wished he was sitting in an Australian Gum tree.

'Laugh, Kookaburra, laugh Kookaburra' sang his friend. Hah! Not today, sunshine!

The Zoo animals are aware that Seattle is playing in the Superbowl.

'Hey guys! Wanna pretend we're the Seahawks?' asked an Asian otter.

'Yay! I'm Marshawn Lynch!' 'I'm Richard Sherman!' 'I wanna be Russell Wilson!'

What a catch!
