Hello Sunshine!
On a glorious Sunday morning we decided to go for a drive
and an impromptu picnic. Our destination was Washington Park
in Anacortes, about 70 miles north of here.
The last time we were there, at least 10 years ago, it was
a cold, blustery day on top of the bluff. We locked both sets
of keys in the car - oops! At times we were forced to shelter
in a nearby Porta-Potty until a Locksmith arrived to let us
into the car. We made sure that we both had our extra keys
this time, and off we went. |
The
drive North was really pretty. Here's White Horse Mountain.
The impressive Mount Baker showed itself now and again.
Time for lunch.
How's this for a great lunch view?
I love all the different trees.
For old times' sake we took pictures of ourselves in the same
old tree.
I wish it had been this warm last time we were here.
Trees were beginning to blossom in Anacortes.
And what a surprise - near Mount Vernon daffodils were blooming.
The sunny bright flowers made me smile.
There were still a few geese and swans around - most of the flocks
have moved on.
And
home we went too - it was a fun little trip.
