Here are a few pictures of my recent trip to Canada to visit my family, son Brian and his wife Beth, their son Crue, and my daughter Alison.

Here's Brian, Beth and Crue's house in Hamilton. It's in an older area and the houses reminded me so much of the part of Seattle in which I live. They'd made a lovely guest room downstairs and I was lucky enough to be the first occupant.

The one and only picture I have of Alison! She's feeding Crue his dinner.

Beth, Crue and I are getting ready for a trip to the park.

Crue gets so excited when he sees the swings. He loves them.

Later it was playtime with Dad. I don't know which one had the most fun.

On Friday, Crue took his first trip to Niagara Falls. This is a photo of the American side of the falls

Here are the Horseshoe Falls with the Maid of the Mist, laden with oilskin-clad tourists aboard. I remember going on the Maid of the Mist as a kid.

Beth took a picture of me, Brian and Crue and managed to get both Falls in the shot.

Later we walked along the Boulevard and the tourist area. Tulips were in bloom all over the place.

We stopped for a 'Timmys' near the big Sky Wheel. Crue was fascinated with a red pole beside the bench. Beth took a picture of us.

He loved looking at everything. Beth took this picture too.

I spent Saturday and Sunday with Ali and forgot to take my camera! When she brought me back home, Beth showed us the beautiful cake she'd made for me. It was fabulous, french vanilla with a lemon filling. I thought it was truly a work of art.

Crue thought it was a work of art too, and had great fun eating his piece.

On Monday we visited a Bayfront Park in Hamilton, for a walk and a play. Brian and Beth are actually very happy, but I didn't realize I was supposed to say 1-2-3 before I clicked.

Crue loved playing on the grass.

And he adored playing with his ball. I won't forget this day in a hurry because right after I took this picture, I walked around to pick him up and accidentally slammed him in the side of the head with my dangling camera.

Not long after that, I went to undo the strap on his stroller harness. He turned his head just as I reached down and my thumbnail caught him just underneath his other eye. It actually drew blood! I was mortified and felt so awful about it. Luckily, he didn't hold a grudge!

So that's a few pictures of my trip which, as always, went far too quickly from my perspective anyway. :)
