For the past three years, we've tried to see large numbers of Bald Eagles along the Skagit River in Northern Washington. Each year, we've failed - usually by being a week too late. This year, we checked the Upper Skagit Bald Eagle Festival website and decided that perhaps this was the weekend to go, weather permitting.

Although we were not overwhelmingly successful, we managed to see 16 eagles in total, and had lots of fun cruising around in the mountains.
