During a recent trip to Eastern Washington, we'd seen signs for Ginkgo Petrified Forest State Park, a registered national natural landmark regarded as one of the most unusual fossil forests in the world."
Further reading about this park revealed that we might see petroglyphs, fossils and petrified wood. And I have to admit, I've always had a desire to visit the town of George, Washington, located near the Petrified Forest. :) On Saturday, May 8, 2004, we headed east across Snoqualmie Pass.
