During
a recent trip to Eastern Washington, we'd seen signs for
Ginkgo Petrified Forest State Park,
a registered
national natural landmark regarded as one of the most unusual
fossil forests in the world."
Further reading
about this park revealed that we might see petroglyphs, fossils
and petrified wood. And I have to admit, I've always had a desire
to visit the town of George, Washington, located near the Petrified
Forest. :) On Saturday, May 8, 2004, we headed east across Snoqualmie
Pass. |
