Washington State
September 16th - 23rd, 2010

Mom spent a week with Tim and Angela, embracing life with her usual enthusiasm and vigor. A little Washington rain didn't deter us at all and the week was packed full of sightseeing, museums, dining and shopping, ending with a picture perfect day in the mountains.

MOHAI - The Museum Of History & Industry, Seattle [link]

It's time to visit the Museum of History and Industry.

I'm sure this 1922 Ford Model T UPS “Package Car” delivered something to us only last week!

We spent a while watching the Ghost Ship appear and disappear on a wall display.

There was a large diorama depicting the Denny Party, some of Seattle's first settlers.

The expressions on the figures' faces were very realistic.

Tim and Jane try to figure out what 'Dutch Babies' are. (Google says they're pancakes.)

It's easy to see from the tree 'decorations' how the dark winter nights are spent.
Here's a closeup

There were many displays of artifacts.

Jane particularly liked the mermaid's long, long tail.
