| Saturday,
June 26 2004 brought a mixed bag of blue skies and descending clouds.
We headed north on Route 9 to the Mount Baker Scenic Highway and
followed it as far as we could, towards Heather Meadows. On the
way home, we meandered along side roads and at one time found ourselves
parallelling the Canadian border, patrolled by border guards.
