We headed south today, past Olympia and west, starting our trip at Mima Mounds, a geological puzzle - thousands of small, circular mounds covering large grassy areas. The Mima Mounds are listed as a National Natural Landmark. Later we meandered around some of the back roads, stopped for lunch in a forest, then headed north and east through the old logging town of Shelton to the naval town of Bremerton where we took the ferry back to Seattle.
