Today, June 21, we returned to the scene of the crime (Falls Creek in Mount Rainier Park) to look for my wedding ring. I'll end the suspense right now and say that we had no luck at all. Sad but true. Ah well...

Here's a short pictorial diary of our day. And by the way, Mount Rainier lived up to the "rainier" part of its name bigtime today.

In Elbe, north of the park entrance, Tim was delighted to spot an espresso stand sign.

"At the Hobo Inn in Elbe, Bob Thurston has renovated a half dozen cabooses he saved from the scrap yard."

"Most of the rail cars at the Hobo Inn in Elbe, Wash. date back to the 1940s "

"The cars can still take you on a trip to “dreamland” during an overnight stay."

"'We tried to keep them as original as we could,' Bob Thurston said."

"No longer do the cabooses click along the tracks. "
