The Mountain Loop Highway winds amongst the Cascade Mountains, between Granite Falls and Darrington. Please click HERE to see a map of the route we followed.

Needless to say, the scenery was breathtaking. The air was cool and crisp - a lovely Autumn day, and as we ascended, you can see that "crisp" became "cold", as we ploughed through inches of snow.

Sad to say, we don't yet know the names of all the mountains we saw, but we will find out ! ;-)
