Saturday,
November 13. 2004 was another gloomy day so we checked our list of
"Touristy Things We Never Get Around To Doing" and
headed for Seattle's Museum
Of Flight. It was great - I wouldn't be surprised if we both have
stiff necks from swivelling up, down, and around. Here are some of
the things that we saw. |
We set off early, to try to get a jump on the crowds.
|
Outside the entrance was a Jump Jet (AV-8C Harrier) |
Here's one of the statues scattered about the displays.
|
High,
low, everywhere, there were things to look at. |
Great Gallery, displays were at Ground and Cloud Level.
|
There
were many replicas and some real displays. |
Here's a Drone - the Lockheed-Martin/Boeing Darkstar
|
A seaplane
came in for a landing overhead. |
A replica of a glider.
|
"A
Plane In Every Garage" - the Taylor Aerocar III |
McDonnell F-4C Phantom 2 -"Brutishly ugly!"
|
Ang fought
off the kids to take her turn in a cockpit. |
