Tim's had some holiday time this week so he scouted around, trying to locate the elusive Bald Eagle population. Oh boy, did he find them! He came home yesterday with some spectacular pictures and offered to take me back to the North Fork of the Nooksack River today.

We left early *yawn* and skidded our way to the I-5. It was very icy and brought back memories of the East Coast and Ontario. By 10 a.m. we were at Tim's stakeout and oh boy, was it terrific! We figured we saw 200 or more of these magnificent birds. Indeed there were trees laden with them while others scavenged along the gravel banks of the Nooksack River. Awesome hardly describes it. I've restrained myself to 20 pictures. The first 17 are mine and the last three were taken by Tim.
